I came across this inscription in a book yesterday. Chris gave it to me last fall. It still makes me smile and gives me butterflies. He really is the most loving and thoughtful man. I am so excited for our life together. I love our quirky little family (and maybe some day we’ll get to be a quirky medium sized family). I am a better, happier and stronger version of myself because of Chris’ love. I think that is how it’s supposed to be. I don’t know what challenges the world has to throw at us, but I’m ready.
Speaking of distance, the wedding is getting nearer. It is 52 days away. I have a dress fitting next week. I probably shouldn’t have been so willing to help Chris devour his birthday cake the last few days. Hopefully my dress still fits. Paige starts school Sept. 2nd. Once she is out of the house it will be time for me to hit the ground running. It will be crafting craziness for the month of September. I’ve been running through my mind which projects are a must and which could be cut depending on time and money. One project I’m really anxious to work on is our guest book alternative. We came up with such a sweet idea. I’m going to try to keep it top secret, but I may get so excited that it ends up on the blog.
Something else that is getting closer is the RSVP date. I’ve read in bridal articles that dealing with RSVPs is one of the most stressful parts of planning a wedding. I scoffed at the idea until I found myself in that situation. We have only received about a third of our RSVP cards back. WE HAVE NO IDEA HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE COMING TO THE WEDDING. Yikes! Please let us know. I want to have a place set for you at the reception and I want to be able to feed you.
That is all I have for now.
