Bucket List

My project list is getting shorter, even though it feels like there is still so much to do. I think we have it more under control than we realize. The adrenaline rush is starting to wear off after this weekend’s crafting bender. This will be my last DIY post for the week… probably.

I first saw this small, plain decorative bucket at the store a few weeks ago. I didn’t get it. I wasn’t sure what I’d use it for. A friend mentioned their “bucket list” a few days ago on Facebook. An idea for the bucket then hit me like a bolt of lightning. I used a paint marker I already had to make the design. You’ll have to wait and see where it pops up on our wedding day. I think it’s cute! You can’t go wrong with a project that only costs $1.00.

I also finished our table numbers. We weren’t originally planning on having a seating chart for the reception. Our guest list ended up a little larger than we intended… oops! It’s still smaller than most weddings, but we worry about couples or groups getting split up. We want to make sure everyone has a good time and gets to visit with people they know. I think I’ll use the old luggage tags we found at the antique store as escort cards, then guests can choose their own seat once they find their table.

The table numbers were easy and inexpensive to make. I used the same double-sided card stock as I did for the flower girl hearts. I printed the numbers out on black scrapbook paper. I got inexpensive frames and that’s all there was to it. I like that they are each a little different. The patterens remind me of quilting squares.

I have my first dress fitting on Thursday. I’m nervous. I’m not sure if the bra I found is going to work. I also worry because I have not been shying away from treats. I had a Whopper Jr. the other day. Hopefully the dress will zip. If not, I see a lot of diet and exercise in my near future.
